Deviant Beta Release


Here we are. out of alpha and into beta. gained an improved workflow and way of getting things done faster. i plan on finishing this game real soon. i need to move on to another project and to do that i need to be done with this first full length project that ive slowly worked on in my off time for a couple years now. 

changes: 

improved visibility, Updated models, Removal of 1st level boss (planning on putting a boss of this style at the end of the final release), New enemy type - Death wish. a skull that flys at you and explodes on impact. New level rough draft to experience. switching of chain gun from 1st level to second level. added ability to transfer to new level at the end of the 1st level by accessing the torture chair (will be updated to something else). 

known bugs: ladders in 1st level can remove jumping ability. easy fix is to use the ladder again and the jumping should return. rock walls on level 2 are missing some of their collision so you will fall through them if you run into them (just dont hug a wall at the start of level 2 for now) some enemies are missing audio cues, have yet to implament player character voice lines that help guide a players understanding of the level and entertainment. Steam VR seems to have become integrated in the project somewhere, when i disabled it in the engine, the whole game broke and wouldnt package itself and was spitting out unknown errors that the internet was no help on. 

if you find any bugs, feel free to let me know in the comments of this post and ill work on investigating that bug and fixing it.

i am also working on getting this game uploaded to the itch io store without an external download link. which i have yet to do because of the game being over 1 gb
